Terms of Service for Answer Points

These terms cover your use of Answer Points, a Google Forms™ add-on, and the website coalballlabs.com. By installing or using Answer Points, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Answer Points is made by Coalball Labs, the trading name of an individual developer based in Japan. "We" and "us" mean that developer. Contact: coalball.labs@gmail.com.

2. What Answer Points does

Answer Points lets you assign a point value to each answer option in a Google Form. It then writes a score for each response to a spreadsheet in your Google Drive. It can't show results to respondents after they submit, and it can't route respondents based on their score.

3. The free beta

• Answer Points is free during beta, with no response limit.
• After beta, the free plan will score 100 responses per month.
• The beta is provided as is. Features may change, and bugs are possible.

4. Pro

Pro isn't for sale yet. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you or us to anything. When Pro launches, its price and any extra terms will be shown before you buy.

5. Your content and your responsibilities

• Your forms, responses and Scores spreadsheets belong to you. We don't claim any rights to them, and we never receive them. See the Privacy Policy.
• You're responsible for how you collect and use responses. That includes telling respondents how their answers will be used and getting any consent the law requires.
• Don't use Answer Points to break the law, send spam, or violate Google's terms.

6. Check your scores

Scores are calculated from the points you set. Check your point values and results before relying on them for important decisions, such as hiring or evaluating people.

7. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, Answer Points is provided without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Answer Points in the 12 months before the claim. During the free beta, that amount is zero.

This section doesn't limit liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that can't be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes and ending the service

• You can stop using Answer Points at any time by uninstalling it. Your Scores spreadsheets stay in your Drive.
• We may change or discontinue Answer Points. If we discontinue it, we'll try to give notice on coalballlabs.com first.
• We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If you keep using Answer Points after that, the new terms apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
